Syncing After Reloading DB

Syncing After Reloading DB

I removed and reloaded DB and have no problems with the installation.

After I loaded new DB, there was a choice of files to sync. Thinking that reducing then number of files to sync, I did not choose all of the files. Now that the installation is complete and functioning, I would like to re-sync the files that were left off the list. Can't figure out how to sync the files in DB (db.com) with the computer. Any help?

Side note. I use two computers. The reload was on a Windows 10 computer. My other computer (Mac) was synced perfectly to the Win computer in DB. Now, the Mac has all of the files on it that were once on the Win computer including those that are no longer on the Win computer. My concern is that the computers will sync (as changes to DB files on one computer on the with the same DB account are always reflected in the other computer nearly simultaneously) and I will lose those files from the Mac as well.

I understand that the files are on db.com, but I need to access the files on my hard drive (as I have always done) as I often work in areas with limited internet access.

Hi there @johnneet, thanks for using Dropbox and happy Monday!

It sounds like you might be using the selective sync feature.

If that's the case indeed, you can adjust your selective sync settings through the desktop app's preferences under the Sync tab.

Let me know if this helps!

Yes, that appears to work. Challenge was in finding where the sync preferences button was hiding. Directions got me there. Thank you for your help.
