Offline mode for Dropbox Paper web?

Offline mode for Dropbox Paper web?

Will Dropbox Paper for web consider support offline mode for Dropbox Web just like google docs in the future?

Yes, I too see Dropbox Paper as the best note taking application. OneNote by Microsoft is decent but being limited to only 3 series of folders is absurd. I am waiting in great anticipation for Dropbox Paper to be available for Windows 10, and not as a web-browser link. I am referring to an offline model similar to how it is on android and Dropbox itself is on all platforms.

I had to switch to OneNote simply because of the fact that it is available on all platforms in an application manner. I I prefer Paper greatly to OneNote but alas I must take notes even when there is no internet and not having individual applications, therefore having to use a browser is quite annoying, so I do not do it.

Hey Folks - Season's greetings and happy new Year!

I'm just writing to let all of you know that I've gathered and merged all of your posts under one thread to keep the comments, suggestions and votes under the same place since they're practically referring to the same feature request:

Offline mode/access for Paper and/or a native Paper desktop app, that is.

Thanks for using Paper and make sure to keep an eye out

Cheers!

PLUS 1! A fast, concise and clean app would be super-nice! Something like SimpleNote did, but for today 😉

Pretty, pretty, pretty please… A native OS X app which integrates both Dropbox and Dropbox Paper, which can be used offline and has Grammarly support!

Hey there @gdo - I've just moved your other post under this thread to keep things neat around our forums. You can upvote this as well if you like!

In the meantime, thanks for using Paper and helping us improve it by providing your valuable feedback - most appreciated.

If there's anything you'd like to add, please let me know.

@walter: I'm sorry for that. I received an error when posting that, so thought it had not been posted: which is the cause of me posting this twice. Don't worry about me posting too much 😉 All I want is basically that: A native app and Grammarly support.

But since our team is right now on the trial mode and ordering the Business plan next week, we'd like to know if there is already any update about these features?

I wish I could help with this @gdo; sadly I can't at the moment.

I'll make sure to circle back here once I have any updates on the matter though - I know it's not much but I sure hope it helps to some extent.

Cheers!

Hi,

In my company, we use Paper a lot to share ideas, write specs, take notes. We love the product, and honnestly, besides some formatting features lacking, there is nothing more to add... Except this offline mode (sames as GDrive provides).

I work a lot in trains, where internet connection is not perfect. Being interrupted every 3 minutes or so is a nightmare.

I know that the mobile apps provide the offline mode. But honnestly, writing or reating a long doc on a mobile app far from being an excellent experience. So the mobile app is not a solution.

Can you at least tell us if this is something you are really and serioulsy considering? Or are your "thank you" more like "thank you but, no, we will not really do it"? A clear answer to that question would help us a lot to know if we stick to Paper or not.

Best regards,

Michael.
