I use the Dropbox Finder Integation on my mac daily. Lately it has been disappearing. Albeit inconvenient, I found that if I went to System Preferences / Extensions and toggled on/off of the checkbox that it would temporarily fix the problem. That no longer works, as it is no longer showing up as an option. How do I get the Dropbox Finder Extension to reappear in my finder so I can easily have the dropdown to see the usual "View on dropbox.com", "create dropbox link" shortcuts that were once there. I have searched the forum and see that others have the same issue, however, there does not seem to be a resolve. Can someone please help me get this feature back.
The screenshot shows where it used to show up. As you can see, the feature is no longer there.
macOS Big Sur 11.1
Hi @kk_pa; welcome to our Community!
I don't see the app's status; can you send us a screenshot of how it looks like in your menu bar? Is it syncing, for example, or is it showing 'up to date'?
While we're at it, did you install the desktop app with admin privileges on your machine in the first place?
Any additional information is more than welcome!

This has been happening to me on two different macs over the past 1-2 weeks, so I suspect it has to be related to some recent update to Dropbox? I have my OS updates disabled, so nothing should have changed except Dropbox which forcibly upates.
I constantly have to Force Quit - Relaunch Finder in order to get the Dropbox integration to return, and it happens constantly. I have to do this at least 4-5 times a day now.
What happened?
Same here, on Catalina.
I've been troubleshooting this with helpdesk since November 2020 but still no solution.
They made me reinstalling DB several times, resyncing the whole database (100 GB!), everything.
The issue is that the Finder integration, not only it doesn't work, but in the Activity monitor I have dozens of similar tasks,
not belonging to any other alive process, so that if I quit DB I retain a lot of useless jobs with the same name.
Obviously it is a bug.

Thank you Jay!
Unfortunately, no, it did not help.
To summarize the issue: every time one of my macbooks go to sleep and wake-up, the service:
/Users/utente/Library/Application Support/Dropbox/Dropbox.app/Contents/PlugIns/garcon.appex/Contents/MacOS/garcon
is no longer working properly.
Dropbox launches another instances (I counted up to 10 of them) but everything gets messy.
I have to relaunch finder every time.
For example, after reinstalling DB few minutes ago, all green icons gone.
I relaunched Finder, all green icons back.
After a sleep/wakeup cycle, the DB badge says "Up to date" but some new folders are still with the blue icon.
Didn't help here, either. All my icons disappear (no grey/green/or blue) as do the dropbox options in the Finder menu if I click an item.
I'm on Mojave and had the same problem. What worked for me was reinstalling from the above link, then quitting finder and re-launching it.
Since a few days the Finder integration disappears or does not work anymore. After a while, the integration is no longer displayed when right-clicking. After a restart it is available again for a short time until it breaks again.
(Mac 10.14.6 / Dropbox 115.4.601)
I have the same problem on Big Sur...
