View, download, and export
Need support with viewing, downloading, and exporting files and folders from your Dropbox account? Find help from the Dropbox Community.
I uploaded a 12 min video (74,415KB file) but when I try to play it it only allows me to play 30 seconds? Does anyone know why that would happen?
Hi @MarkB1, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Are you previewing the files on the Dropbox site or the mobile app?
If you download the file from the site to your computer, are you able to view the whole file?
This will help me to assist further!

Jay, thank you for responding.
I have tried previewing both Dropbox site and mobile app.
I download the file to my laptop and it did the same thing, only allowed me to preview 30 seconds.
This is the same file I uploaded from my laptop and can preview the entire video. I must be doing something wrong.
Thank you for looking at this.
Hey @MarkB1, sorry to jump in here, but are you getting any particular error when this happens or is the video just not responding?
Have you by any chance tried another media player to see how it goes?
Also, did you compare the file's size with the size of the original file? Is it the exact same size?
