I'm trying to download large folders from the web, but not all of them are downloaded.

I have a large folder full of (other smaller folders filled with) videos files that I am trying to download and store on an external harrd drive to have a backup of these videos. In total, it comes to ~7 Tb. I have tried downloading each of the smaller folders one at a time but this often results in not all of the videos files downloading. Does anyone know of a better way to do this? Thank you in advance!

Downloading that much data through the browser is just not going to work well. You really only have two other options.

    • Use the Dropbox application to sync the folder to your local drive and then copy it to the external drive. If you don't have enough space on your local drive you can use Selective Sync to only sync specific folders as needed, copy them to the drive, then unsync them.
    • Use a third-party tool like Cyberduck or Mountain Duck to directly mount/view the folder in Finder/Explorer and just copy the files directly to your external drive.
