What is happening to the Dropbox Send & Track feature?
I bought DropBox ONLY because it had the Send and Track feature. Am I correct in understanding, that:
- That it no longer functions and I should another service, open a separate account (both DropBox AND Send and track subscription) or what should I do?
- That I cannot find my old reports? Because no matter where I look, I cannot find anything on videos that I previously had connected to Send and Track.
I am puzzled.

Hi MSS2 - thanks for posting on our Community and sorry to hear about the confusion this has caused.
I'm not sure if you're aware, but Dropbox Send and track is being discontinued starting March 31, 2025. After this date, your Send and track files will be stored in the “Send and track” folder on your Dropbox account.
Note that files that predate February 15, 2024, aren’t auto-copied to the “Send and track” folder. They’ll need to be manually downloaded from the Send and track hub or they’ll be permanently deleted.
Data related to your file links and analytics should already have been deleted on March 31, 2025. All Send and track links will be disabled after March 31, but you can reshare the files through Dropbox (without analytics) or through a newly-created DocSend account.
I hope this helps clear things up a tad and please let us know if you need anything else.

Hello, thank you for the reply. Please clarify: have I lost all analytics/reports etc. on all my Send and track files that I have paid for? The only reason I bought DropBox was to gather this data on my files that were accessed. I report the views of our videos once every 6 months, so I have had no reason to gather the reports until my report period ended - only to find out that data was destroyed Feb 15th? Am I understanding this answer correctly?
And from now on, I have to pay for two subscriptions to achieve the same?
*Off to find alternatives, if the reports I HAVE PAID FOR have been destroyed. How on earth can anyone destroy someone else's documentation. I could understand somehow that the service was discontinued or moved elsewhere but to delete already paid for analytics is really something else and off the chart. If I misunderstood, my apologies. If not, I can only ask how you can justify destruction of property?

Hello, thank you for the reply, however, I would not like to post my email address on a public website if that can be avoided. Can I have a DropBox email I can contact, please?
