I'm not receiving the email to reset my password
Do you have access to the email linked to the account?

Question or Issue
Im signed out of my dropbox account and cannot sign in. Ive selected "forgot my password" but am not receiving an email to reset my password. Even if i get the password right, it asks me for a 6 digit security pin, but I dont even receive the email for that. How do I recover my account, or make sure I can receive the email? I've checked the spam folders, but no where to be found. Im posting this on a different account I made, so I could post this discussion.

Welcome to the community, callmedeans.
When was the last time your account actually received an email from Dropbox?
Can you add no-reply@dropbox.com to your email contacts and then re-attempt the password reset?
If this doesn’t help, I’d like to know if you’re using a personal email address or if it belongs to your work domain.
Keep me posted for any updates.

Its been probably 5 years since ive last received emails from dropbox. Ive also tried adding them to my contacts and still havent received any emails. This is my personal email address [Removed as per Community Guidelines]

Hi callmedeans, thanks for posting today.
I’d recommend getting in contact with our support team directly to look into this matter in more detail.
You can do this by opening an incognito/private browsing window, while not signed into any account, and accessing this link.
From there you should be able to contact support. Make sure to enter the same email you use to login to Dropbox.
Once you get a ticket ID from the automated response, which is sent via email in a few minutes, please let me know the number here so I can locate it in our system.
