Plans and Subscriptions
Ask the Dropbox Community for help if you have questions about your Dropbox plan or subscription. Find solutions and share advice with members.
We are using a trial for teams advanced. When a member accepts an invite does their plan now wrap up into the teams plan or are they also on the hook for their separate subscription as in the past. Our goal was to have everyone a part of teams and put in the "teams" folder those files that will be shared by everyone. So if we have 4 licenses, those 4 individuals with current accounts would role under the teams umbrella which we would pay for. If that is not correct help!!
Hi @golferjlw, sorry to jump in here!
It sounds about right!
Keep in mind, that when inviting someone over to your Team, they'd have the option to either join using their personal account and moving all their data into the Business account. Or create a separate account for their personal files.

Hi @golferjlw, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
As you're still on a Dropbox Business team trial, the users' personal subscriptions would continue.
When the team upgrades to a paid plan, then the personal subscriptions would end, and the users would receive a prorated refund for the remainder of their personal plan.
If you need any more details, feel free to message back!

Thank you for the quick response. I think we are on the right track then. The other team members would accept the invite and move their account under the teams umbrella (paid subscription) and move to the "team" relevant folders where all team members would have access while not moving their other files that would remain private (unless shared etc). However, under advantage, as the Admin I would have access to all their files if necessary. One of our goals is to make sure if someone suddenly took ill or the proverbial hit by the bus..... we could have access to necessary files that may not be under the team folder. Does that make sense and is correct?
