just got a new mac and downloaded dropbox to the finder, when copying files from dropbox to desktop its taking a long time, previously it was instant. What is going on? Ive changed the bandwidth limit to none when downloaded and uplaoding. Why is it still taking so long?

Hi @marshalb, let's jump right into this!

When you say a long time, would you mind clarifying a bit more?

Is it possible that the app is still syncing content as we speak? I'd love to know its syncing status right now.

Also, please feel free to hover your mouse over the little Dropbox icon, next to your WiFi on your menu bar and check the app's version that you have installed on the device.

Keep me posted!

Hi Megan

Approximately 5 minutes to copy over 1.6GB of files. Does it have something to do with when i set up my dropbox? Is it possible that the dropbox i have on my finder is syncing all folders and files from the business dropbox and thats why it is taking so long to transfer over files?

Prior to me setting this up , on my old mac transferring files happened instantly

Hey @marshalb, that could be the case, but we'd need some info in order to investigate further.

Would you mind clearing the version of the app that you're using, along with the device's OS, please?

If you could also send me the app's current syncing status, or send me a screenshot, that'd be amazing, thanks!
