I also have two vaults on the recently installed Dropbox. One is synching (green check mark) and one isn't. But the pin works. How do I get rid of one of the two vaults?

Hi DeepBlue71! Thanks for posting here.

Can you let me know when this occurred on your Dropbox account? Did you previously have one vault and after reinstalling the app, it created another one?

Also, the two vaults that you mention, do they contain the same files?

I am not entirely sure. I believe I had a vault installed on my MacBook, which I used as my primary computer, incl. Dropbox. And when I re-activated my Win10 PC and installed dropbox there, a second Vault appeared. It has a later date, and I can't add files to this second vault. That was only possible on the first vault. And a third vault appeared just today. 🙂

    I hope that helps.

Hi DeepBlue71, can you clarify the Dropbox version of the app on the device that you're using?

You can find this by locating your Dropbox icon on your task bar, next to your WiFi and hovering your mouse there.

Also, feel free to send me a few screenshots of your Vaults, and how they appear inside your Dropbox folder.

I am using dropbox version 169.4.5684. This is what the vaults look like in my Explorer.

Hi DeepBlue71, thank you for your screenshot!

Can you try to remove the 2 first Vaults, the one that don't appear to be syncing? Do you face any issues when trying to do so?

When I restarted my computer this morning, Vault #3 was gone. I tried deleting vault #2 and could not. So I changed into dropbox online and could see the two vaults there. One looked "official" with the icon. The other looked like a normal file. So I deleted the "file", leaving the "official" vault untouched.

When I changed by to the Explorer, I could see that Vault #1 had now disappeared.

I tested Vault #2 and it seems to work (enter the pin, upload files into it, etc.)

So the problem seems to be solved.
