Dropbox application not syncing on new Windows 11 computer
I just bought a brand new PC for my business. It has Windows 11 preinstalled. I Installed dropbox and bought a new 2Tb plan under my business name.
Shared a folder from (this) a separate personal dropbox account to the business account
Although I can see the files, I can't get them to download to my PC or sync changes made in the original personal account.
I can't see how to force sync.
Please help

Thanks for your post, Sarah L.29.
The first thing you need to check in this situation, is the sync status of the Dropbox application on your new computer.
You can do that by hovering over the Dropbox icon in your system tray with your mouse.
Also, when you say you can see the files, but can't download them, do you mean that they don't open when you double-click them?
Are you getting some kind of error message?
Any additional info you can give us, would be helpful.
Thanks.

Hi Hannah,
The files are listed. The parent folder status is a red cross, but within that there are none of the 31 items that have a red cross, they all have a cloud symbol or a green tick because I've opened them.
The only error message comes up in the sidebar for the parent folder : "statut de disponibilité : erreur" (my PC is in French). The other folders show "Disponible lorsque vous êtes en ligne"
I can open them, but only by downloading them one by one

I can't see where to find the sync status. When I hover over the dropbox icon it just says dropbox.

Thanks, Sarah.
Are you sure you're looking at the correct Dropbox icon? You'll need to hover over the small one at the bottom right corner of your screen, by the clock.
That should give us some more info about the red x icon you mentioned.
