Dropbox Backup taking up hard drive space?
Hi - I am brand new to DropBox Backup, using it to back up an external hard drive that I bought to free space on my laptop's hard drive. How can I make sure that Backup doesn't take up room on my laptop's hard drive? I am going to make sure that individual Dropbox folders don't sync, looking for a similar solution here.
Thank you!
Hey JeffSimmermon, welcome to the Dropbox Community!
When you back up an external drive through Dropbox backup, the files won't take up space on your internal drive.
They can only be accessible from your backups page online or the external drive itself.
You can read more about it here.
Let me know if you have any questions.
