Finder wants to change the name of 'x' - error after macOS 13.4.1 update

I updated to macOS 13.4.1 a few weeks ago and i'm now constantly getting the Finder wants to change the name of 'x'. when I want to move, rename or change a file I always get asked for permission.

I've done the following:

+ 'Apply to enclosed Items' within the 'get info' to give DropBox all the possible permissions

+ uninstalled and reinstalled the App

+ DropBox has full disk access permissions

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I've used DropBox for 5years+ and never experienced anything like this

  • Hi edturn, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

When you uninstalled and reinstalled the app, did you perform and advanced reinstallation?

This will help me to assist further!
