Small company getting billed but staff using personal accounts

Small company is billed annually for Dropbox but the 2 staff use personal accounts to access company files.  These personal accounts run out of space and are prompted to upgrade.  I'm one of the 2 staff.  What is the process to obtain login information for the company account (the one being billed annually)?

Hi guyrivers, welcome to our Community!

Just to make sure we're on the same page here: it sounds like you're using an individual account, and you wish to know how you'd be able to join a Team account that your company is using. Is this the case, or do you try to locate the account behind the annual charge?

In that first the case, then the Team admin would need to use these steps, in order to invite your individual account to join their Dropbox team.

Let me know if you have any questions!

To add to what Megan said the Team Admin probably needs to purchase another 2 licences for the company Dropbox. I'd also suggest you dont use your personal email for that as then the company 'owns' that email/data and if you leave you could have issues accessing it and getting it back - Dropbox cannot assist as its owned, at this point, by the Business. So either set up a new email or use your work one.

I don't know if it's a Team Account.  I'm trying to get information on the account on the annual charge so we can determine if we should be using it to avoid individual accounts that keep asking us to upgrade.  I'd prefer that we both use the annual account the correct way and deal with storage at the company level.

Hey guyrivers, I would suggest looking up the payment info here, so you can locate the email address associated with this paid account.

That way you can log in and see what kind of plan it's on and then proceed accordingly.

I hope this helps, but let me know if you need anything else!

Hey guyrivers, if you want to find the email address associated with a paid account, you can follow the link in my previous reply, to look up the payment info.

As for what you mentioned about our prices, this has more to do with taxes, which are determined by the location and various state and local tax laws.

You can read more about that here.

The code on the Dropbox charge on the company's bank statement only has 10 digits.  The payment info lookup requires 12 digits.  Then I can't submit a billing inquiry that's suggested because my personal account doesn't have that available.  Is there any other way to handle this?

By the way, the posting about pricing was not from me.  I'm not sure how it got into this thread.

Hey guyrivers, just to make sure we're on the same page here, it sounds like you need help identifying where the annual charge is coming from, right?

If that's the case, then would you mind if we reached out via email, so we can have a closer look into this?

    Thanks!

Email would be great.  Where can I send an email explaining it correctly?
