".pdf files are supported but something went wrong." error on the website
I don't believe this problem has been solved - at least for me. I get the error message (".pdf files are supported but something went wrong.") ONLY for one file (140 MB PDF), other small PDF files work fine, I am well under my quota, and the problem occurs with both Safari and Chrome browsers operating under Sequoia 15.3.1. I am a Basic DropBox user, so I understand "you get what you pay for". However, any helpful advice would be welcomed - as I've had to find a working solution for this file with a vendor other than DropBox.

Hey George Freestone - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Did you try an incognito window or a browser with no extensions or plugins running to see if you get the same results?
PDF files should preview fine on the website as long as they're up to 500 MB as outlined here.
Let me know of any updates!

No I haven't - but will take a look AND report back. The odd thing is this file worked fine for ~ 1 year.. and just suddenly developed this problem (the file is going through many revisions). I will say - if those configurations you suggest are required to make this work in an ongoing sense - this may be more hassle than it is worth. The view may not be worth the climb. As I said I have a contingent solution with another vendor already in play.

Walter - I do appreciate the advice - however the incognito window did not solve the issue. The file is "Our Baseball Journey 2.pdf" that I tried with the incognito window. It will take more time to verify if "with no extensions or plugins" solves the issue.

Also, Walter - when I download the PDF (that the viewer is struggling to display) from the DropBox storage on the cloud.. the file is FINE. I think it's a problem with the DropBox viewer.

Thanks for the update George Freestone - much appreciated.
The other thing I could add to this is that you can always download the file and open it locally on your devices with no issues.
Let me know if anything else comes up.

Well Walter - we still have no solution. I will try your one remaining untried piece of advice upload "with no plugins or extensions running". So far - your suggestions have not addressed the problem - and I heard no comment on the possible problem with the DropBox viewer.

I have no extensions running in Safari. So that was your last piece of untried advice.
So what next - as the problem remains unsolved?
I find it odd - the amount of people having this issue and reporting it on the web. Are you sure the problem isn't on your side?

Hey George Freestone, we appreciate your feedback on this.
Have you tried creating a copy of the file, to see how the copy behaves?

Yes Hannah - I had problems with the original file "Our Baseball Journey.pdf" so I first tried to scale the PDF from 140 to 33 MB.. and that did not yield success, so I tried to create a file with a different name "Our Baseball Journey 2.pdf" and still had the same problem. I have had no problem successfully uploading the file to Google Drive (small and larger size). As I mentioned to Walter - my upload to DropBox fails for both sizes (exported as PDF from Keynote) - but succeeds with PDF's uploaded from other Apple products. Any other thoughts - something possibly with the DropBox viewer??

Thanks for the update, George.
Nothing is certain and nothing can be ruled out, so we'll keep looking till we get to the bottom of this.
Is there anything special about the way this particular file was created, as opposed to other PDFs that are not giving you this error?
Also, which browser version (your main browser's version will suffice) are you using?
