Adding a Favorite Button in Fullscreen Preview
As a professional photographer, I rely on Dropbox daily to transfer and store my pictures after each session, allowing me to clear my SD cards for the next shoot. After testing various software and applications, I find Dropbox to be the most reliable and intuitive option. While Adobe Cloud is excellent, it lacks efficient album-sharing capabilities, making Dropbox my preferred choice for cloud storage. However, I have encountered a challenge when reviewing session results on Dropbox. Although Dropbox provides both sideview and fullscreen preview options, the ability to favorite an image directly from the preview mode is missing. Currently, I must exit the preview window and manually click the "star" button to categorize the images I wish to work on. This process is time-consuming and frustrating because the folder reloads each time, making it difficult to recognize which image I wanted to favorite. Additionally, the image selection indicator also disappears after exiting the fullscreen preview.
Suggestion:
To improve user experience and efficiency, I propose adding a "Favorite" button to the image edit bar that appears above the picture in fullscreen preview mode. This enhancement would significantly save time for users like myself, who often work with folders containing over 3,000 images and videos.
By implementing this feature, Dropbox would better serve photographers and other professionals who require a streamlined and efficient workflow.
Thank you for considering this suggestion.

Hey there Andreas Sabo - thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on this with us.
I just gave this a go and I found the option to star the files I was previewing on the website, even from the full-screen preview.
Can you clarify the type of the files you noticed this on and send me a screenshot of what you see in the full-screen preview as well?
Thanks!

Hi Walter,
Thank you for the rapid response.
I am primarily using RAW files from my Canon camera, which are usually stored in JPG format.
I have attached a screenshot from my browser for reference.
To add more information, I am using Safari on a MacBook. Perhaps there is a conflict with my browser.
Thank you for looking into this. (I hope you dont mind, my browser is transcripted to my native language) - Walter2 years ago

You should be able to find the 'Star' option under the File (Fil) sub-menu Andreas Sabo
Can you give it a go and let me know if this helps?

Thank you, Walter. This approach works.
However, I still need to hover over a tab to favorite an image. I believe I can speak for many users when I say that having an option directly in the edit bar would create a more efficient workflow. With a physical button present, I could use my arrow keys to switch images and favorite the ones I want with a single touch on the touchpad.
Therefore, my suggestion still stands, even though there is a workaround to complete this task.
