Chart colors change on excel files

I have noticed recently (not sure from quite when, about 2-3 months) that when I download an excel spreadsheet from Dropbox, the colours on particular charts change from what I have designed the chart as. This only (seems to) happen on 2 particular files and only selected parts of the charts. Strangely they are all donut charts. No other types of chart are affected.

I have tried to correct the colors once uploaded back to Dropbox (using the edit in excel feature) this doesn't really work, and the next download and upload cycle, it reverts to colours I have not chosen. (Being the standard excel colours for a chart.) However, this had worked once and now those parts of charts remain the colours I want them to be. Upon the first upload, the preview feature generally shows the colours as correct, but not always.

I have Office 2016 installed, but this also happens for a download/upload cycle on a laptop with Office 365 insalled.

Hey David_7 - sorry to hear about this.

Would it be possible for you to get a screenshot of the discrepancy so that we can have a visual too?

    Thanks!

One on the right is the original, the one on the left is the Dropbox one that has changed the colour of the (some) sectors

    Thanks for the screenshots David_7

May I ask if this is a shared file or a private file that you own? Do you see anything odd when you check the file's version history by the way?

Thanks Walter for the reply. It is a private  file and I see nothing odd in the version history.

Hey David_7, can I send you an email, in order for us to have a closer look into this?
