"Download now" in Files app on my iPad and iPhone does not work

Hi!
Dropbox Plus user here, unable to download files for offline use in the Files app on my iPad/iPhone.
When clicking "Download now" on a file, it's downloaded once but not kept for offline after changes, when on a folder -- nothing happens. The documents are stored for the offline use in the Dropbox app but I would like to have them available via Files so I can use markup.
I have reinstalled the app and cleared the cache in the Dropbox app. Any suggestions?

    Hey sprlct, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

     

    I'm afraid we won't be able to help much with this, since the Files app is developed and maintained by Apple, not Dropbox.

     

    Have you tried reaching out to them directly for further assistance?
