Having trouble exporting my Dropbox files to an external drive

I want to export my Dropbox to an external hard drive connected to my PC, all goes well until I get to the API request Authorization where I am presented with a 30+ long password that I cant cut and past.

Is there a way around this? not all 0 and O, I and 1 are obvious and after four attempts I'm losing the will to live!!

Hi there, tjackson1957, thanks for joining our Community.

Can you let us know which exact steps you're following to export your Dropbox files to an external drive?

Are you using a third party app to do so?

Any additional info would be really helpful.

    Thanks.

Basically I have a Western Digital plug-in hard drive with its own software allowing  the user to import data from Cloud base storage.

If I follow the WD prompts it asks me to authorize dropbox to share data and dropbox, dropbox then provides a very long password which I can copy from Dropbox but not paste into the WD software, so I guess its not a Dropbox issue but a Western Digital issue.

    Thanks for the update, tjackson1957.

That's what I was going to suggest, to be honest; to reach out to the third party service for further assistance, since this is not an official Dropbox integration.

I'd be happy to hear back from you with the info they share, though!
