I am working remote but can only access files on the site
Help,
I am working remote for the first time and can only access files through the account web page.
The laptop dropbox file tree shows the files but with a line through them, double click on them and says unknown error message while trying to access file. Cant seem the sync file. Have had to view the account site and download, which goes to download file but never goes back to drop box.
Work will get messy.

Is the Dropbox application running? If not, your files will not be able to sync and you wouldn't be able to access any files that are marked as Online-only.
Look for the Dropbox icon in your system tray (Windows) or menu bar (Mac). If it's there, hover your cursor over it to see the current sync status. If it's not there, launch the Dropbox application and make sure it starts.

Hi dave pope, thanks for messaging the Community!
You can run the application from the Start menu on Windows, or the Applications menu on Mac.
Keep me updated with any progress!
