I can't download a file from Dropbox on my old iPad.
I have a laptop, a Samsung and a desktop, all three can access Dropbox.
I recently acquired a somewhat old iPad, purely to run the free Word app and have it access files I've uploaded to Dropbox. But the iPad won't link to Dropbox - in 'add a place', choose Dropbox it attempts to connect and after a few seconds gives up. How can I fix this? I'm on free Dropbox and I know there is a limit of 3 computers to link, but I've logged out of those in Dropbox. 😒

What version iOS/iPadOS is it running? Have you installed the Dropbox app? If so, what version is it?

It's ancient, 10 I think. I tried downloading Dropbox to it and it couldn't due to that due to the old iOS. I don't upload from the iPad though. I thought to download a file I just needed to go to the Dropbox URL, log in, and that was that. But from what you're saying, in order to do even downloads, logging in to my Dropbox account is insifficient? It's what I do on my laptop and desktop.

Hi from me as well, Kernow_Man. Just to clarify, are you trying to download a file from the Dropbox website on your iPad directly?
If yes, I’d like to know the browser you’re currently using and its version.

Dropbox is technically only supported on the 2 most recent versions of browsers. My guess is that IOS 10 is just too old for it to work I'm afraid :(
However, a possible work around could be to try and download Chrome to it and see if that works?
