InDesign files are set to be opened with the Dropbox app and not InDesign - how can I change this?

Hi.

In the past days, Dropbox is hijacking the file extensions. I try to open a file and it try to open with Dropbox instead of the correct app. I tried to "Open with" and "Change all", but after a few seconds, it changes back to Dropbox again. It's ver annoying because I have LOCAL files that should be opening in Indesign but they are not. Right click shows InDesign as Default App, BUT the first option in the dialog is Dropbox, so on double click, it doesn't do anything. I need to Right-click and open the files with Indesign everytime. Is there a way to solve this?

Thanks, Luiz

Hey Luix, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I can see on your screenshot that InDesign is selected as the default program for these files, but what happens when you double-click them?

Also, have you tried to change the default program from the file's "properties"?

    Do these steps help?

Let me know how it goes!

    Hi.

If I double-click, nothing happens. And yes, I changed the extension association several times, and it changes back. I'm in MacOS Sequoia. It was working fine some days ago, but it changed.

    Thanks,
    Luiz
