I've added a PDF file to my shared Dropbox Paper doc, but the recipients can't see its preview.
Im having issues with paper document that we've uploaded a pdf - sent to clients and they are unable to view the image of the pdf on mobile or desktop?
I've just been adding the pdf using the dropbox 'add' little image, searching for the pdf in a certain folder within our dropbox folders and then clicking upload. Changing the setting to view only as I don't need them to edit it only view it. Also it's a live working document that we make changes to so it must be a pdf doc. can't be a jpg.
We can see it on our end in paper? Please can you help resolve this issue.

Hey Meagan Heli! Thanks for your post.
Out of curiosity, are they unable to see the preview of your PDF file on different browsers, as well? Have they also tried an incognito window?
Feel free to send me a screenshot of what they see, too, and I’ll check this further (you can mask any info that you don’t want seen publicly here).
Let me know, when you have more details.

Thanks they say they can't see anything not even the link to download. It's strange because we are adding jpgs and they can see those? I don't really have a screenshot from there end but will try get one, mostly not working on mobile to

Yes, please do. Even without the PDF previewing in the Paper doc, they should still be able to click on the link, which would then open the preview of the PDF file on Dropbox to download it.
So, it would be nice to have a visual of what they see and go from there.

I can't see from there end, but don't understand why when yo share the link for the whole document this would be any different. If I go into the pdf and edit and share from there directly it works on there end, but this is such a pain. The jpgs etc showing fine and sharing.
Also doesn't matter about which browser or window etc as it needs to work on all so clients can access it easily. I think when you share the whole paper link, it seems not include all links within the document :(
