Large file shows error, after being downloaded
Hi I am trying to download a large HD file (2 hours long) from drop box to my hard drive (plenty of space) but after waiting a long period for the download to complete I can only view/use the first 40 mins before an error message appears " uses unsupported encoding settings 0xC00D36E5" Can you please help me change whatever settings I need to make this work...incredibly frustrating!
Thank in advance

Welcome aboard the forum, DAPR1!
Just to clarify, you see this error, after the file has been completely downloaded to your computer, correct?
Is there any chance that the file you've downloaded is corrupt? If you preview it via the Dropbox website, do you receive any errors at all?
Let me know, and we'll take it from there.

Hi Nancy
Thanks for your help
The MP4 files are viewable in their entirety in dropbox in a chrome browser...and no errors there
Its the transfer from dropbox to my (relatively) empty external hardrive that has been formatted and has no errors on it
Thanks in advance

Hi there DAPR1 - sorry to jump in here, but could you try another browser to download the file and also another media player to see if the issue lies there?
Let us know of any updates!

I am having the exact same problem. I have tried downloading with different browsers and watching the mp4 file in multiple video applications. I have downloaded my file numerous times and while it will play in its entirety in dropbox, I get errors in a different location every time I download. Did you ever get this to work?
