Missing images when downloading batches of photos from the photos tab
Hello - I am organizing all of my families photos from about 15 years of Dropbox use - photos everywhere. To do that, I am downloading all of the photos, using the photos tab in Dropbox, working through the timeline. I am downloading in batches to an external drive, and then using Photo Supreme for organization etc.
Here is my issue:
When I attempt to download a large number of images from Dropbox, using the photos tab and timeline, the number of images selected for download is greater than the number of images that unzips from the zipfile created. The more images I select for download, the greater the problem (when I select 1000 images, I could lose 200+ images in the process).
I am fairly sure the problem is caused by the fact that images have the same file name on Dropbox (they are, for example, in different folders, but have the same filename, but they are all collected to the Photos tab), and when they are downloaded from "Photos", using the timeline, the zip process deletes duplicate images with the same name, taking only one of those files.
Is there a workaround for this problem?
Thanks!

Hi tewksjj, welcome to our Community!
I'd like for you to try downloading the files in smaller batches, do you notice the same behavior? Let's say for instant that you download 50 files, that 3 of these files have the same file name.
What happens if you also try a different browser altogether?
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

Smaller batches work. If I keep it to a few hundred images, typically it is fine. I am fairly sure it has to do with images with the same name in different parts of dropbox, but it is odd, because there are times when I can download 1500 images at once and all of them come through. I am using Chrome as a browser.
