I have used dropbox for many years, but as of yesterday it is changing the format of my Word documents. Documents which fitted onto 1 page no longer do so, and the spacing is different. What has happened?

Dropbox cannot change the formatting of files. It doesnt have the capability to do so.
However, downloading and opening on other devices CAN do this if the other devices do not have the same version of Office installed or the same fonts etc. Same if you open on website vs. computer vs. mobile device.
