Search in a folder showing results from other folders

I'm trying to search for a specific file type in one of my online folders so that I can move them all to another folder.

When I select the source folder and the wildcard in the search box, the results are showing files in different folders.

How can I limit the search to only the folder I've selected?

Hey hajami9 - thanks for using Dropbox and welcome to our Community!

Can you please clarify if you're navigating the folder when searching for those files or if you're doing this from your account's homepage instead?

Do you get the same results on another browser by the way?

Let me know more and we'll take it from there.

    I have the same issue.

I open a folder by right click "view in dropbox" or navigating there through browser interface.

I search for "ARW" (all raw images within this folder) and the folder name is in the front + the matching tag is in the URL, so its 100% inside this folder and specified for this

Unfortunately, this shows results from other folders or things that were moved out like 2-3 days ago

I tested the same issue now in 3 browsers

Hi amzp, would you be able to send me a few screenshots demonstrating what you see on your end when you try to search for these files?

I'd love to have a visual too.

    Thanks a bunch!

It's just files that used to be in the folder and underneath the path that they are in now, just as if I'd search in the parent folder. I fixed this issue by moving the folder somewhere else and then running the search again.
