Some files cannot be opened in computer.
I cannot open some files in my computer. It's exactly the same "jpg" files which I synced in the past. The files are definitely not corrupted because they can be viewed on my iphone but just not the computer.

Hey there, Tiffanie1, thanks for posting here!
Does this happen with all of your .jpg files?
Also, just to make sure we're on the same page here: do you use our desktop app to preview your content, or our website? What error do you get on your end?
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

It happened to a lot of files, even the older ones after I migrated to a new computer. I am viewing with Windows Explorer, which I have installed Dropbox in it (presume it's Dropbox desktop APP). There's no error message and the file kept hunging up cannot be opened. However, some other files can still be seen. All files are working properly on Dropbox iphone.

Hey Tiffanie1, if you visit your account online, I'm assuming that the files preview there without an issue, is that so?
Would you mind trying to temporarily quit the app and try to open the files while the app is still closed? Do you get the same results?

Yes, you're right. The files can be viewed on line via the web login.
May I know how to temporarily quit the APP? It's installed in my "Windows Explorer" already.

Click the Dropbox icon in your system tray, then click your avatar in the top-right corner and select Quit.

ok, "Quit" and also restart computer. However, it remains the same.
I even cannot transfer the file between folders - "There's an error occuring, cannot move the file..."

Did you test it after quitting the app and BEFORE restarting the computer? If not, the Dropbox app would still be running because it automatically launches when you restart the computer.

The Dropbox icon on the System tray below is gone now. How can I check whether it's still running?

The icon is usually the indicator, but if you want to be certain you could open Task Manager and see if there are any "Dropbox" services running. If there aren't, the app isn't running. There will still be a "Dropbox Update" and a couple "Dropbox Service" tasks running. Those aren't the app.
If the app isn't running and you're seeing the same behavior, then it's likely not Dropbox causing the problem.
Right-click on one of the files and select Properties. Do the Size and Size on disk values match (or at least extremely close)?

If I cannot manage Dropbox with my computer, there's no reason for me to continue subscribing Dropbox. Is there a technical support in Taiwan that I can take my computer on-site and fix?
