Why is there no option to save a folder to device on android?

Is there any good reasonable explanation to why there is no Save To Device option for folders on android? Going into the folder to select all the files within that folder not only seems like an unnecessary, extra step, but when you finish the save, the files are no longer arranged as they were in the original folder. It's just another in a long list of annoying little quirks that keeps Dropbox from being a great file sharing service.
