All image files have disappeared from my account

Hello,

I had not logged into my Dropbox account in a while, but this morning I needed some images I had stored there so I logged in.  While the folders I had images stored in are still there, all images in the entire account are gone.  Files that were not images are still there.  I've looked in the Events area and it does NOT show where any of them were deleted as far back as it goes.  But every single one of them are gone.  Nothing is in the deleted folder, either.  

I do not sync my online account with my devices, but only manually upload specific things.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what happened and how I might recover my photos?

    Do you remember when the last time that you accessed these images was?

    Were they in a shared folder(s) or non-shared?

    Let me know.

    Last accessed, maybe......4 months ago.  None of them were shared folders.

    If you search for names of files through the search bar in the "all files" page, do you get any results?
