How do I remove my Dropbox files from an old employer's computer?
How do I remove my Dropbox files from an old employer's computer and remove so that it will no longer link to my files and will not affect my files on my personal computer?
Thank you very much!

Hey @MLGGLM, thanks for posting your question today!
From what I can understand, you were previously using the Dropbox desktop app on a computer you no longer have access to, is that right?
What you can do, is disconnect that computer from your account, by deleting it from your devices here.
This will stop the computer from syncing to your account.
There is an option that will allow you to delete the files as well, however, this feature is currently available to our paid accounts only.
You can read more about how that works here.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Hannah:
Thank you.
Yes, I am currently a paid account.
Therefore, do I somehow delete the folders and files first? And then delete the computer from my devices? IMPORTANT: How do I know for sure that all of the folders and files, my personal folders and files, have been completely deleted BEFORE I delete that computer so that it will no longer sync with my folders and files? And not sync them back on to the computer? I do not want to delete the computer until all of the folders and files have been completely deleted!!!
Please, please, how do I know that all of the folders and files have been deleted from the computer (Hard Drive) and are never accessible again? Please advise.
Thank you very much for your excellent advice!

Hey again, @MLGGLM!
Do you currently have access to that computer or not any more?

Hey MLGGLM - in this case, you can use the steps outlined in this Help Center article to remote wipes from that device.

The help article that Walter linked to will explain it, but just know that there's no guarantee that the files will be erased. If the computer doesn't connect to the Internet or the Dropbox application doesn't load again, there's no way for Dropbox to remotely wipe your files.
