How do I unlink the Dropbox app from my old device, so I can safely delete the Dropbox folder there?
I wish to dispose of my old computer, so I need to remove Dropbox and all my files (which is linked to my new computer ). I read somewhere that I should right-click on my initials in the top right-hand corner and un-link from there, and then I can delete Dropbox from my old computer, but there are no initials, so how do I un-link?
Hi dendurk, let's jump right into this!
The first thing you'd need to do would be to sign out of the app using these steps.
You can then uninstall the app, and delete the local content without affecting the files and folders you have in your account online.
That should be all. After that, you should be good to go.
Let me know if you have any questions!
