I edited my files last night, but now my updates are missing.
II updated at least a dozen files last night and when I look now, the files dates show prior years. I've lost a ton of work. Was Dropbox corrupted in the past 24 hours?
I've been out of town, so I am late to respond. I made multiple edits on 11/24 before I left for my trip. Those edits appear on Dropbox. Whatever issue was plaguing me before seems to be resolved now. Thank you.

I am confident there is a Dropbox corruption issue. I deleted a file last night and no files show as having been deleted.

Thanks for posting here, jkdotmv.
To look into this further, we’ll need to know a few more details. For example, which platform/device did you use to edit those files initially? Were you able to see your updates on www.dropbox.com after that?
Are you missing updates from the same platform/device where you originally edited those files or did your updates never sync to a different device instead?
Keep me posted for any additional info.

All work was done on the same pc with Windows 11. I was able to see the edits. I saw the edits in the application as I opened and closed the files by monitoring the file dates. I don't believe I looked at the files in File Explorer.
Most of the files appear as though they were restored from one year ago when I made the edits. This is an annual process. On 11/21/2004, I edited 14 files. As I look now, none of the files have recent 2024 dates.
I did check the file dates on a MacBook and saw the same result. No recent file dates on the files that I updated this week.

What does www.dropbox.com/events show out of interest? Is Dropbox connecting on that machine?

I do see some activity on 11/21 in a different folder, but not in the folder that I am most concerned.

I looked at other folders on Dropbox and it appears that the corruption is limited to one folder.

BTW, I know that I had an internet connection as I was streaming music while I was making the edits. I do not know if Dropbox was syncing, but even if there was a Dropbox outage, I think I should have the files available locally.

I just modified a couple files in the same folder that I've had issues. Only one time stamp is correct.

jkdotmv, can you clarify the syncing status and app version of your Dropbox app at the moment?
If you open the files that you edited recently via File Explorer > your local Dropbox folder, do you see your latest edits?
