Many files deleted and not showing up under deleted files

My PC was acting up and I made a new user account to see if that would help.  In that account, I tried to reinstall dropbox, and point it to the original dropbox location ("User1").  Dropbox said there was no room, suggested synching only a few folders, and that all others would be online.  I picked a few folders to sync.

Dropbox then appears to have deleted everything from many folders. I noticed that going on and rebooted back into the problem account "User1." many folders are emptied and their files do not show up online under 'Deleted files'

Any help MUCH appreciated.

Sorry to hear about this, Gordon_H.

If you go back to your original user account and the original Dropbox folder, are you able to see your files there?

Were the files actually synced with your Dropbox account? Namely, were you able to access them all from dropbox.com as well?

Also, what do you see in your events page about this?

    Keep me posted.
