Windows search no longer working after latest Dropbox update

Hi, anyone had this issue?  My windows file search no longer works in my business dropbox account after the major update. I have waited for indexing to complete, signed out and in again but to no avail.  Thanks, Martin.

Hi msdx, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you confirm the current version and syncing status of the Dropbox desktop application when you click the icon in the system tray by the clock?

This will help me to assist further!

Thanks for the info. Could you provide more information on how the Windows search family's exactly with screenshots if necessary?

Are the files available locally, or are they online-only?

Hi, I have a combination of local and on-line only files.  When opening windows explorer and using the search function (top right) it does not find files. It was working fine prior to the update.

And is it affecting your online-only files, the local ones or both @msdropbox

Also, what is your computer's exact OS version and, if possible, could you send us a couple of screenshots so that we can have a visual too?

    Thanks!

It is affecting both offline and online files, some can be found with the search, some cannot but it does not depend on file type, it appears to be a bit random. Sorry i cannot offer a screenshot as it is a business PC

Thanks for the clarification and the additional info there msdx - much appreciated.

Could you completely close the Dropbox desktop app and let us know if you get the same results?
