Cannot add someone to a shared folder?
I keep getting this message when trying to add someone to Dropbox. I get the same message if I put them in as view or edit.

Hi Karen43, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Just for clarification, are you using the normal Dropbox site or app to add someone, or are you using an API or other method to do so?
Are you adding them to a shared folder, or a team folder?
This will help me to assist further!
- Karen432 years agoExplorer | Level 3I have tried to add them from the app and by signing into Dropbox using my desktop.
I am adding them to a shared folder. - Karen432 years agoExplorer | Level 3It is for one particular person, not everyone.

Is that user already part of a Dropbox team, which might've restricted sharing folders with non-team members?
Could you try switching browsers to see if this helps?
- Karen432 years agoExplorer | Level 3I tried two different browsers - Google and Microsoft Edge. I will reach out to her to find out if she is part of a team that restricted access.
