Disable download for shared links not working.

I have my downloads disabled for a shared link.

Whenever I test the link to another email, the download option is still there and able to be used.

I just upgraded to the business, and I pay to use this feature on Dropbox, and for it not to be working is very frustrating. I've tried logging out from my

Dropbox account, used several browsers, and used different emails, but NONE of them worked.  Please advise!

  • Reny1105 Could you double check that the link you are sharing is a link for viewing? Shared links where people with the link can view the folder can have downloads disabled, but shared links to folders with can edit permissions cannot restrict downloads.

Do you have Dropbox installed on your device? If so it detects that its 'you' and as such gives you the full rights to it.

Take the link and put into an incognito window and it should work fine :)

Hey Reny1105, thanks for posting here!

Did you try what Mark suggested above? Just wanted to check in and see if you're still facing the same issue.

    Keep me posted!

Yes, I did it as mentioned. Also, I asked my friends to look at it, and they still have the issues.

    My friends can download them.
