Download Link
Hello.
I just moved from the old Dropbox to this new set up. So far so good, I managed to upload the file I want to share today without a problem.
And I got the Link for it. On the old dropbox, at that point, there was another step between this, and letting someone download a file that I sent him the Link for...
That has now disappeared. All I do is send the link, and everyone who has it, can download the file with that Link?
Thank you
Thank you for your help...
After spending some time on the new software, I found that it had done exactly what I wanted it to do.
However, without telling me of that, as the old software used to do.
I have been an occasional user for many years and was surprised by the many changes. None of which I was interested in, if I may say so...
I was still registered via an old e-mail address which has been unused for several years. And when I was trying too use dropbox I was not allowed to proceed unless I confirmed my identity by answering to a mail, I could not receive.
If I may add, I am not too happily excited about the development which now asks humans several times a day, to provide proof to a computer that we are actually humans. F.e. I was not able to get back into my g-mail account, because I did not want to turn my mobile number over to Google.
But that is different story, of course....
So I set up this new account with my present e-mail... and the new surface is where complications started, but now everything is set up correctly and I could send the file.
So, thank you again.

Hey Joseph Heller, welcome to the Community and happy 2023!
Are you maybe referring to the option to disable downloads or set up expiration dates or passwords for your shared links?
If so, note that this is available to Dropbox Professional, Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise customers at this time.
If you'd like to adjust your sharing settings, you can follow the steps outlined here.
I hope this helps and please let me know if you have any other questions.
