How can I cancel the syncing of individual files, once it has started?

Device
Mac M2
Operating System/Browser (if using the web)
MacOS
Dropbox App Version (if using the app)
Up to date

Question or Issue
I use the desktop app. I stream all files. I click the cloud/down arrow icon next to the file to begin syncing. It turns out I don't want to sync this file because it is too large and I would like to cancel the download of this file but not pause or cancel any other files that may be syncing. I right click on the file and choose "Do Not Sync" which has no effect. How can I cancel the syncing of an individual file? And if we can't do that, how can we suggest the feature?

Ultimately the desired experience would be a dashboard in the dropbox app that shows all files queued to sync and allows you to cancel or reorder them.

Thanks!

    Welcome to the forum Murmur

As things currently stand, Dropbox does not let you cancel or stop the syncing of a single file once it has started, unless you remove or relocate the file from the Dropbox folder. The “Do Not Sync” (Sync → Online-only) options only affect future syncing behavior, not an active transfer.

If you want to stop one large file without interrupting everything else, move the file out of the Dropbox folder by cutting and pasting it. This will prevent that file from syncing,
