How can I see what files the client thinks it needs to sync?
The client says >250k files, 157GB
The total size of the folders marked to sync is <25GB
It it really so difficult to give us more details on which files are currently being synchronised and which ones are in the queue?
Literally all the others I know of do! Mega.NZ, StackStorage, OwnCloud...

Hey CescoAiel, thanks for posting your question to the Dropbox Community.
At the moment, the only way to see which files are in syncing 'mode', is if you look at the syncing icons of your files in the Dropbox folder.
We appreciate your feedback on this, though and I've made note of it in our system.
If you see that the sync status of the Dropbox app is stuck and not progressing, let us know. Perhaps the app just needs to (re)index some files.
Make sure to let us know if you have any more questions.

It is going down, slowly (too slow for a 1Gbps fiber connection, but I digress), if I allow it to continue...
But when it tells me it is going to sync 157GB in data for a 25GB set of folders, I'm not gonna let it run!- Hannah

Is your entire Dropbox folder 25GB, or have you removed folders and files through selective sync or by making them online-only to bring it down to 25GB?
Also, which version of Dropbox are you using? You can hover over your Dropbox icon to see that info.

Selected 1 folder in my dropbox (for now) to sync with my PC. The other stuff is fine where it is for now.

Thanks, CescoAiel.
Unfortunately, we don't have any info on why this might be happening and whether it's a re-sync or just a re-index, especially if the app can't do its thing and finish what it started.
I have, however, passed your feedback along to our team and if you need anything else, please let us know.
