How can I share files from my desktop (not app)?
For years I was always able to share files directly from my desktop by clicking on the folder/file in the local dropbox directory. But it no longer has this option! It appears that you can do if you log on to app. Has this long time feature been removed?
Thx, Jim

Welcome back to our forum, kangas-tiac-net!
Can you send me a screenshot of the options you see at the moment? What are the exact steps you were taking to share your files from your desktop?
I’d also like you to clarify what you mean when saying you can do so when logging in to the app (feel free to send me a visual of what you see in that case, too).
Keep me in the loop.

It's pretty straightforward. Before I would log in on my desktop - NOT to Dropbox. I'd go the Dropbox header in File Explorer, and when I left clicked, it would give a somewhat highlighted option about "Copy Dropbox Link" and pasting the output would provide something to paste into an email (e.g., "her are my pics...").
I can get to the same result but now I have to log in to the Dropbox site and click on "Share" to get the link. It's an extra step.
Am I just missing an option?

That option still exists.
Is Dropbox running on your device? What does it say if you mouse over its icon on the status bar and do you get the other menu options appearing?
As Nancy said a screenshot would really help of what you do see on the context menu.
