How to discover which files I have shared so I can unshare those I no longer want to share?

The automatic process has disabled my ability to share any files at all, apparently because some either have a virus (unlikely) or are copyrighted. I don't make a practice of this but there are two journal articles I'll occasoinally share on a limited basis. Anyway, I have 2GB of shared material, but is there a way i can see what files are shared?

  • I have unshared all material remotely copyrighted, all the rest of the shares are my lectures and personally written uncopyrighted materials. To "test" the reason I lost the ability to share, how long until the sharing prohibition is automaticlaly lifted, assuming nothing else "wrong" with the shared files?

Hey michaelalandove, let me also jump here!

If this is the first time this has happened, the suspension should only last 24 hours, so after this time, you should be able to resume sharing from your account.

If you wish, I can reach out to the email associated with your forum profile, in order to look into this matter in more detail.

  • Dropbox support staff and the person who initially handled my staff with help from specialized support identified the shared PDF that was somehow apparently affected with malware. It was a news story on mourning among Chicago's Palestinian community I had been sharing. In any case, I deleted it ans can share now. But one lesson is to periodically unshare accumulated shared files you no longer need to share.
