I can't move my shared folder under "All files".
Hello!
I'm OCD and decided to create a folder specifically for a client's projects. The problem is we use AutoCAD and XREF linking, which breaks the link/xref everytime a different team member opens the file, because we have a different file path. I've tried many times to move the folder back into the main DropBox "All Files" parent folder from dropbox.com and Windows Explorer, but it doesn't allow me to do so. I've also tried removing my permissions, deleting the undesired parent folder called "Fleur Nooyen" and then reinstating my permissions, but it automatically recreates the undesired folder. I have editing permissions and was able to move it into the folder "Fleur Nooyen" folder, so it's odd that I can't move it back out of said folder. I've attached a screenshot for reference.
Thank you for your time and any assistance anyone can lend!
Best regards,
Mel
Hi Megan,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! At first I didn't see an option in my "suggested folders", within the "move" menu to move back into the main pool/All Files. I then clicked on the root folder below and it worked! Thank you for your help, this solves so many issues for me!
All my best,
Melissa

Hi there, mellylouc, welcome to our Community!
Essentially your "All files" path contains all the folders you see visible on the sidebar. It's not an exact location, but a "pool" of all your files, and folders.
Having said that, would you mind clarifying what happens if you visit your account online, then access your "Fleur Nooyen" folder, and then grab the "CAD drawings" folder, and drag it on the "All files" path that you see right above the folder's title, above "Recents" and "Starred"?
Do you get any specific errors? Do you get the same results when following these steps? Also, when you mention that it recreates the undesired folder, are you referring to the "Fleur Nooyen" folder?
Let me know more!
