I need to be able to send files to people without a Dropbox account, but can't anymore.
I received an email from Dropbox this morning that said, "Please sign in! We noticed you're not taking advantage of your Dropbox account."
That's right, I'm not, I haven't been signing in, and I'll tell you why. I always used Dropbox to share files with other people. If I'm not mistaken, you ruined that functionality by suddenly insisting that the only people you could share files with were those who had Dropbox accounts themselves. This made Dropbox essentially useless, at least to me and I'm sure to many others. Restore your previous functionality and I'll be happy to again sign into my account and take advantage of it. Thank you.

That's not accurate. If you send a view-only shared link, a Dropbox account is not required by the recipient. That hasn't changed from how it has always been.
