I uploaded 200GB of files via my desktop app, but it's now stuck uploading 8k files for days.

I recently moved some folders containing a lot of photos into my Dropbox folder on my windows desktop. On the desktop app I could see the progress of the uploads going vey fast and it appeared that the upload would be completed in about a day. The original upload was about 200 GB and now there is only about 2.5 GB (~8000 files) left, but this last little bit has been taking DAYS and it seems to be getting even slower with every file that uploads. The dropbox app says it is uploading fast (~1300 KB/sec), and the estimated time is 37 minutes, but is been going multiple days like this. I have rebooted many times, tried messing with the bandwidth settings, updating the dropbox app, but nothing seems to help speed things back up. Internet speed is fine and the dropbox app appears to be working fine too, except its not. See screenshots below. Any ideas? Thank you!

Sometimes, specific files get "stuck" due to corruption, size limitations, or metadata issues. Try the following:

    • Pause syncing in Dropbox, wait a few minutes, and then resume it.
    • Identify if specific files are causing the problem:
      • Right-click on your Dropbox icon > View Sync Issues.
      • If certain files are stuck, try moving them out of the Dropbox folder, then back in one by one to see if they sync.
