I used Migration Assistant on a new Mac device and it created a selective sync conflict.
Application Affected
Dropbox
Device
MacBook Pro M4
Operating System/Browser (if using the web)
MacOS Sequoia 15.6
Dropbox App Version (if using the app)
229.4.5197
Question or Issue
So I've bought a new Mac and used the Migration Assistant to copy my old Mac to the new one. Having done that Dropbox just started to copy itself and add "(Selective Sync Conflict)" to every folder name. Dropbox of course got full and now is useless. If I delete all "(Selective Sync Conflict)" labeled folders the copying process continues. And here I'm talking about the folders that are not synced to any of the Mac computers. The whole of Dropbox wants to copy itself.

Hi IvanM1986, thanks for posting on our Community today.
When starting to use a new computer, we generally recommend installing the desktop app directly from our website, so that you can choose which files you'd like to sync from your web account to your new device and avoid any possible conflicts.
If you haven’t already, can you please have a look at this Help Center article?
Other than that, I’d like to know the current syncing status of your Dropbox app. When saying that the copying process continues, even after deleting the conflicted folders, you don't mean that the app is trying to sync the exact same folders again on your computer, correct?
Let me know, and we’ll go from there.

Hello Nancy,
I've seen that article before and it was't helpful.
It seems that Dropbox just continues to copy the files where it left off. Because it filled the remaining space and after I deleted that first batch it now just continued.
