Photo updates to USB from Dropbox
Hi,
I’m an Emergency Services photographer, and I regularly provide USB’s filled with images of their station, trucks and personnel. Each time I receive a USB back to add new content, I have to manually delete the existing files from the USB to put the new Synced DropBox stuff onto it or manually select the rows of photos and Copy & Paste them onto the USB file. upload the updated versions, and then copy everything back onto the USB.
It would be incredibly helpful to have a feature where I can simply select new content and press “Upload New Content to USB,” allowing the system to automatically update the drive with only the new additions.
(I upload photos from my iPad onto the cloud then use the Dragging and Copy and Paste feature on laptop.)
I’d love for this idea to be considered!

Dropbox Product Manager
Hi Ty! I'm a product manager here at Dropbox - first off thank you for the work that you do with our emergency services!
A quick clarification - is your workflow that you take the USB plug it into your laptop, delete the existing files and then manually take your Dropbox files and put them onto the empty USB? And the photos you take are those taken on the iPad itself or transferred from a camera/other device?
Thanks!

Hey Ethan, thank you.
Yes that’s what I do, and why I would find great value in a new “Upload New Photos”feature or something similar and/or like I mentioned previously mentioned. And yes, I cable transfer the photos from my camera’s SD Card onto my iPad to edit them, then upload to DropBox Cloud that is synced to my laptop that I then use to transfer files onto the USB’s.

Hey tythecopper - thank you for the clarification and the additional information too.
We've noted your feedback down in our system and the team is aware as well.
Let us know if you have anything else to add.
In the meantime, feel free to elaborate on your use-case. For example, why do you need to use a USB since you're using Dropbox? Also, are you familiar with the camera uploads and/or the Dropbox Backup features?

Alright I appreciate it, thank you.
I like to use USB’s that I put my photos onto using DropBox to hand out to Emergency Service stations for them to use etc. I am aware of emailing a link to there email feature, but sometimes the physical thing seems more professional and better.
Thanks,
- Ty
