Provide an option to only download the metadata of a file without downloading the actual file.
in the desktop app , we have an option to Synch Next, similar to this option I will like an option to skip downloading.
This button should still download metadata (so we can see thumbnails, file size etc) without actually downloading the content.
This is especially useful when i have a small harddisk and I selected a big folder/file to be downloaded to desktop
Currently it can become tricky and time consuming if we have lot of folders and un-intentionally we selected to synch lot of folders on a very small local hard disk

Hey DBmaparikh75 - thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on this with us.
What you describe is really close to the option to set your files to be online-only. Are you familiar with that feature by any chance?
Let us know more information and we'll take it from there.

when I experimented by checking the online-only box and then selecting a folder in selective sync, still resulted in everything to be downloaded.
Does the online only option work for totally new files only, meaning does it work only 1st time I am setting up drop box?
