Select a date range for Camera Uploads to upload

That Camera Uploads folder gets pretty big! I move photos off into subfolders by year. But every time I connect my iPhone, Camera Uploads wants to upload all the photos it can find.

My request is the ability to set up the Camera Uploads feature to limit the uploads to recent photos. User input would be an "on or after date." I'd set mine to January 1 of the current year, for example.

Out in the real word, one reason for this request is that it's incredibly difficult to do mass photo deletions in iOS. It takes awhile for me to clean the photos off my phone. Also, there are some old photos I just like to keep there.

Hi Connie M.4, thanks for messaging the Community.

Just for clarification, are you using the camera upload feature only when you connect your phone to your computer?

Are you not using the automatic camera upload feature on the Dropbox mobile app instead? This already has a similar option, to only upload new photos from the date of activation.

This will help me to assist further!

    Hi Connie,

Chiming in to let you know that this feature actually does exist on iOS! In the Camera Uploads settings screen, clicking into the "Back up..." row will allow you to select a date from which to begin camera uploads from, by clicking on "Choose a date".

Let me know if this isn't what you were looking for, or if this doesn't work for you!

Hi Connie M.4, were you able to review the recent response by my colleague?
