Selective sync issues after migrating to a new Mac Mini M4 from an M1

I upgraded to a Mac Mini M4 from a Mac Mini M1, there are many Dropbox Selective Sync issues after migration.

I think I understand how to clear them up, but how can I get folders that are already in my Dropbox account in cloud to appear in Finder in Available Off Line mode?

For example in Finder I have a folder xxx (Selective Sync Conflict), I can delete it, but how do I get the original xxxx folder to appear in Finder?

Many thanks, it seems searching Dropbox help just gives me every possible solution to everything except what I need.

Hey Blair Sherwood, thanks for reaching out to our Community.

Keep in mind that a selective sync conflict means that you have two different folders with the same name in the same location and that the original is removed through selective sync.

That means that you should be able to find the original folder in your selective sync settings.

If the folder appears as unchecked, it means it's removed with selective sync, so if you check the box next to it, it should sync down to your computer.

Can you try and let me know how it goes?

A Selective Sync conflict will occur when you've used the Selective Sync feature to remove the local copy of a folder, and then create a new folder in your local Dropbox with the same name. Dropbox can't sync the new folder because one already exists with the same name, so the folder is renamed to indicate the conflict and allow it to sync.

You can manage which folders will sync locally by updating your Selective Sync settings.

Also, don't confuse Selective Sync with online-only/available offline. These are two different features and they work differently. After you've checked the folders in Selective Sync, if they're showing as online-only you can right-click them and set them as available offline.
